► PVI Gift Giving '07

Para maiba naman despite the busy days of work, we went out for a charity work. We joined the yearly gift giving event of our dearest NGO, PVI. (Pagkakaisa Volunteers Inc.) which caters special children. Itong event na ito ay ginagawa bago para sa Noche Buena. But since may mga sariling pamilya rin kami (volunteers) whereas sine-celebrate din namin with our own family tuwing 24th, kaya 23rd ito ginanap.

Etong picture na 'to, eto 'yung time na nagsisimula na kaming magbalot ng mga goodies na ipapamigay sa mga taong nasa kalsada. "yung mga taong natutulog sa gilid gilid sa kahabaan ng Roxas Blvd, Intramuros at Malate. Each bag contains noodles, rice, canned goods, biscuits, clothes at toys.

We're so close to completing the packing activity. After neto, simula na kami sa paglarga at paggala. Lumibot kami sa Manila at naghanap ng mga pamilyang nasa kalsada.

Now that all the goodies are set, off we go! Pero ciempre, picture picture muna.

Overwhelming 'yung feeling to see happy faces among the less fortunate families. Try to imagine, natutulog sila tapos gigisingin mo at aabutan ng bag for a mini-Noche Buena feast, tapos babangon sila, pupungas pungas out of antok, yayakapin ung bag at matutulog ulit? Ganun..ganun ung eksena namin sa halos buong madaling araw.


After maubos ng mga goodies, tumuloy kami kina Tito Oyet sa may Makati for breakfast. Dahil mejo madami kaming volunteers ngayon (7 na sasakyan plus isang truck), di namin afford ang libreng lugaw sa Aristocrat. hehehe..so, Tito Oyette and the some of his kitchen staff prepared their very own, "Aristo-back" lugaw.


Late na kami natapos at nakauwi. One thing's for sure, kahit na nakakapagod, it's all worth it. Ang sarap sarap ng feeling at masasabi kong nakatulog akong may ngiti sa labi. In fairness, nakalimutan ko sobra ung mga worries ko nung andun ako. heheheh..


Thank You Lord for these wonderful people whom you have used to be a blessing to others. Now I can say that Christmas really is GIVING. Literal! ahahahah.. ☺
