ROADTRIP 101: Tagaytay

SHOCKING NEWS: Two prisoners escaped to experience a great adventure?? In fairness, di kami nag-usap ng isusuot and to our surprise, we were both in a black-and-white striped shirt/blouse. Muka kaming prisoners from outer space! hahahah..

It was almost Lunch when Lebs {Sir Lebs, I'm making myself used to it..I'm trying..hahah} drove our way to Tagaytay. Our first stop? Sa Select {sa South Expressway}. We decided to buy some chicha since hindi pa siya kumakain at para may mangata din kami along the way. There, we've got snacks and water for the trip.

After him having his "happy stick," we went ahead na. We are looking into taking Sta. Rosa exit sana pero lumagpas kami. So we took Cabuyao exit and went back para um-exit sa Sta.Rosa. From Sta. Rosa, nalito ako kasi 'nung nagcommute kami last time ni ate ko, we went dun sa may terminal with the Target Mall. Yun pala, wrong way. So we went back {again}. To make sure that we're getting it right this time, we asked one of the manongs sa may terminal. Tinuro nya'ng daan. After minutes of travel, finally, we saw an arch that says: "Welcome to Tagaytay City." Yehey!





As we we're driving the road to the main city, we stopped over the main road kasi nakita namin 'yung madaming madaming reachable sunflowers! And that called for a "Sunflower-picking session." I've got lots!!

After that, we decided to drive our way up to People's Park {also known as Palace in the Sky}. Tuktok to the max. Heheh.. Madaming kakaibang view ang makikita dun aside sa building na halos gumuho na. There we saw a huge structure of Christ with an outstreched arms that appears to welcome every visitor. Most of all, I was delighted by the view on almost a bird's eye view perspective. Ang ganda at anlamig! In fairness, di ko kinailangang magjacket kasi yung lakad pataas nakakapawis {kung pawisin ka} na eh. Antarik. So, as always, we just made fun of ourselves with my baby na girlfriend naman si Lebs {ahahaha}.

Tagaytay or Baguio?

We planned to see Sonya's Garden kaso it's a 30-45 minute drive pa from where we were daw. According to a local, it's almost way past the boundary of Tagaytay, Cavite and Batangas city na.

Since mejo hapon na, we just drove our way to Picnic Grove. Mejo foggy na kaya hindi namin nakunan ng magandang shot 'yung Taal Volcano.




Pinagod kami, este si Lebs lang pala, 'nung Adventure Trail. It's a walk way { walk way nga ba? trail un eh! basta un!} sa gilid ng park. Hiningal siya paakyat. If nature trip ang hanap nyo at di kaya ng powers nyo ang hiking or mountain climbing, dito na lang kayo pumunta. Pwedeng pwede na. Wala nga lang overnight session.

Our hungry tummies rallied along the way, so did feed them with yummy isaw, adobo at rice. Not to mention, we're not too picky so kumain kami sa gigilid. After kumain, napusuan naming huminto dun sa isang area sa may Laguna. Parang factory depot cia ng mga branded at imported na items, like UCB, Timberland, Nike, Adidas, etc., etc., etc. Super sale ang prices {ranging from 50-70% off}. Imagine the price drop from 6-7k to 2-3k. Great savings, ayt?

We then headed to what they call "FIGARO" for a relaxing view of Laguna de bay. Ofcourse, moment to shoot portraits. Dito talagang kulit kung kulit kami, at the same time, relaxed to the max. Just the sight of the view, plus the freshest air in the city..unbelievable.






At around 9:30pm, we left the place and went straight to the city of Makati. Syempre pa, papasok pa ko. Haay..I didn't realize that it was too late to see the city with all lights on. Whew..if given a chance, ayaw ko sanang pumasok kaso di pwede e. Tiring yet masaya! The entire experience was great!
