Well, think twice. HINDI PO GANUN YUN. I have collated some boo boos (from a friend's email) not to humiliate call center aspirants. This is to make them realize na hindi porke marunong kang mag-english e pasok ka sa business. We're not laughing at the people, just the LINES. No offense meant..

1. I am a flexible and I am perseverance person (when asked to describe her personality)

2. I want to learn more English words. (when asked why he wanted to work in a call center).

3. "Haller???!!!??? (knocks on the table) THE SALARY!" (Answer to "Why do you want to work in a call center?")

4. "Do you accept walking applicants?" (No, we prefer flying ones)

5. "Is there an opening for a call center?" (Oh so you want to become a call center now huh?)

6. "Hello, i just want to inquire about the application resume that i planted in the computer..." (Ano ka, farmer?)

7. "I was scheduled for an exam this morning....I wasn't able to make it...because I WAS TONSILITIS."

8. "I want to expose myself to the customers." (Answer to why he wants to work in a call center") - Flasher ITO!

9. "Ten" (When asked to count from 1 to 40 to measure her articulation)

10. "I would choose IRATE CALLERS, Sir." (Answer to the question: If you will change the COLOR of the world, what would it be and why?)

11. Do you have any extra ordinary positions that I can take for granted (Roughly Translated: Meron po ba kayong ibang position na pwede ko'ng apply-an?)

12. "Hi. Good afternoon, my name is _____, and I'M a call center from the Philippines." (solohin ba?)

13. "Chocolates, boys with tongue pierce." (An applicants answer to the question: What are your weaknesses?")

14. "I'm a married person, I have 2 children, the same boy"

15. "It's a colorful world." (Describe the shirt you're wearing.)

16. "I would like to be a part of the graveyard..." (isa ka pa...thriller...thriller night)

17. "Gd pm sir, im realy sri wen u call me I cnt hear clearly coz d raindrops of d rain is vry noisy. Rgrdng of wat u want 2 knw y u call me?" (A text message from an applicant)

18. "I think Grade 3 and 4 students are very childish!" (Answer to the question: What do you think is the most difficult part of teaching Grade 3 and 4 students)

19. "Hi Maam, do you have an opening." (Lokong to ah!)

20. "I want to adventure into the graveyard..." (Langya, mahiilig ka sa patay!)

21. "I want to work to a call cenetr because it's a boomed industry." (So all agents are now dead, I guess)

22. Interviewer: So you're an undergrad. What year are you in right now? Applicant: Oh I'm just here in the house. Interviewer: No, I asked you what year you're in. Applicant: Year? I'm 25 years old! ( Nagkakaintindihan tayo pare...)

23. "In the middle of my study at Adamson, my father fortunately passed away." (FORTUNATELY???!!!)

24. "May inaantay ako na trabaho kaya gusto ko lang na may mapag LILIBINGAN." (Answer to the question "Why do you prefer a part-time job?"

25. "I want to explore myself more." (Answer to why do you want to work in a call center.)

Funny? Yeah. To be honest I did laugh out loud. Pero this made me realize na one has to exert extra effort to be a call center agent. Actually, sa lahat naman ng klase ng trabaho. To think na these lines came from a collegiate what should we expect? The point is, one should never underestimate call center agents and the job itself kasi what one thinks he already got is never enough. Malaking adjustments, malaking responsibilities. Not only to the company, but to one's self as well. Yeah, it pays off to be in the business but one's health, as well as one's safety is at risk. One has to be responsible enough kasi di enough ang sinusweldo or sswelduhin, para bayaran ang buhay na pwedeng mawala if di mag-iingat.

The most important thing is, we all have to learn the basics. The truth is, we have to unlearn what we've learned para mas maging madali ang proseso. Try to practice speaking in english more. It is the key. Express yourself. Some customers may try to understand {lalo na pag buking yung accent mo} but not everybody wil. Ang masakit nyan e yung ididiscrimate di lang ikaw kundi yung nationality natin as a Filipino {oftentimes, mapapagkamalan kang Indian if di ma-express 'yung sarili mo well}.

Sometimes, it is needed to go down our level. 'Di porke college level or college grad e wala na tayong lapses. Kung kinakailangang kumuha ng quiz kasabay ang first or second graders nating kapatid or anak e do so. Review. Try to check what we knew for years. Hmm..as basic as the prepositions, parts of speech, at syempre, spelling. Try to check online spelling tests (samples: 1, 2, 3). It is also advisable that we practice typing. Marami namang online typing tests (samples: 1, 2, 3) eh. Go, go, go..
